First attempt at colostrum collecting fail

I had the same issue. It took about a week of me doing it every night to finally get some, not a lot but some. Don't give up! Also been told not to worry too much if you plan to breastfeed it won't affect milk baby seems to get it better out of you. I use a hot flannel on boob for a few mins, massage it then I tried fingers further away from nipple and thats when I started to get some.

I was the same! I tried every day for a week until I got a few tiny drops. Now I can get about 0.4ml in each 15 min session but I very nearly gave up! I get much better results in the evening, my boobs just seem dry in the morning I think it’s because I’m less hydrated 🤷‍♀️ x

I might be getting induced in the next few days, I might not have to long to try! But I’ll keep at it. I’ll try a hot flannel might help to keep them warm! Thanks 😊 x

No worries! The first time I tried I was 37 weeks, I was in the shower and literally squeezed my boobs from every angle and then I saw the little tiny drops. A couple of days after, nothing came out.
I tried to collect colostrum again a few days later and I realized that if I place a hot water bag (not burning) for like 10 mins and then massage for 2 mins, it worked! I collected 0.2 ml from each boob the first time. The next day they I was in pain. But I'm still keep trying!!
