Look before i continue on. Let me just say that my partners x is a psycho and is hella neglectful to her kids. My partner caught a drug charge and lost custody. She hates me cuz i actually put in effort with her kids. She tells the kids im not their parents, even though I've been around 6+yrs. And it doesn't help that my partner is like scared of this hefer. So anyways.... don't come for me. But my 8 yr old ss poops himself...regularly. it's been an ongoing issue for years, and I dont understand. He just refuses to stop what he's doing to go poop. If he's playing video games... he'll do it. He's watching tv... he'll do it. PLAYING AT THE TRAMPOLINE Park, and he'll do it. He comes home from school and he's dirty. The "accidents " dont happen as often with us... but we have to constantly remind and ask him to go. But they still happen. But Her solution a year ago was to send him to school in DIAPERS. She finally listened to dad and took him to the Dr. ... she feeds him a shit ton of miralax and says he's just constipated... I just dont understand. Has anyone else heard or experienced this? Please don't be ugly or judgmental. It's hard asf to try to parent these kids with the type of mother they have. We've tried talking to the kids but they say they're happy and safe. The house they live in, extended family lives with them too, has had CPS cases. Including their mother and according to them that's the place for them to be. 😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨 rant over.

My SS (now 11) did this exact same thing- he also wet himself. When he was in K/1st grade he'd even refuse to change- his BMs solution was to send him to school in pull-ups. We refused.
His pediatrician just said he'd, essentially, grow out of it. He has ADHD and SEVERE anxiety. Getting him on meds was, what I think, the real game changer. We've had no issues in about a year now.

I don't know if this will help with pooping but my pediatrician recommended this website for my daughter (who has spd and Adhd) she wets the bed still at 7. Bedwettingstore.com to help with this. He said it helped both of his sons, who were heavy sleepers.

My stepson had/ kinda still has a issue with pooping himself he’s 9 and it’s partially adhd and getting hyper fixated on what he’s doing and not going and it also is he has a issue with his colon where he can lose his bowels a lot easier then other from apparently sitting in shit and not being changed enough as a baby 😩
