Does anyone know any ways to increase my supply? My baby takes 4oz every bottle I give but sometimes my supply is so low I can’t even get out 4oz to give him. If I give him 3 he’ll still cry and cry for more and I have no more to bring out and it breaks my heart. I haven’t supplemented with formula but I’m afraid I might have to.

Have you tried liquidIV?

I have not where can I get that from? What does it look like?

So are you exclusively pumping? Have you changed pump parts recently? Sure your flanges are the correct size? 2-4oz total is average output when you pump to replace a feed.

I pump bottles for his daycare but at home i breastfeed 95% of the time. It’s only if we’re not gonna be at home like if we’re going out I’ll pump a bottle but since he nurses all day I barley get 1oz on each side when I do need to pump. For his daycare bottles I can’t get out 4oz for each bottle sometime it’s 4 sometimes it’s 3 & 2.

I either get mine from Sam’s club, Costco, or Walmart. I believe they sell them on Amazon to. (You get more at Costco, or Sams ) definitely helped me a lot when I felt very low

gotcha, that is really tough. I was in a somewhat similar situation with my son at different times during our breastfeeding journey and I ended up often giving him one bottle of formula per day. I was already pumping on my way to work and twice at work and I’d usually get about 10 ounces from those sessions. There wasn’t anything wrong with my supply, but I basically produced just enough and he needed more like 12 ounces during that time. During the summer when I was off from teaching I wouldn’t need to give him formula.
He will still get all the benefits of your breast milk even if you do decide to supplement! You could try power pumping to try to build a little freezer stash, or just adding in as many extra pump sessions as you can if it’s really important to you to exclusively breastfeed. The only for sure way to increase supply is to remove milk more often.

Making sure you’re eating and drinking enough and eating enough protein. Get your electrolytes in and drink coconut water and/or body armor. Some people say oats and making lactation cookies can help too. Also when are you pumping? If it’s too close to when you nursed that could maybe be why. Babies also can get more out than a pump can because they’re more efficient. I know sometimes people try more than one pump and have better luck with one than the other. You could also try talking to a lactation consultant and many times local hospitals offer this service for free to support moms! And like someone else mentioned, if you end up having to supplement one bottle that’s totally okay too and your baby is still getting so many amazing benefits from your milk

thank you both so much! Also where would I be able to see a lactation consultant and can I still see one even though my LO is already 4 months?

just Google any local ones near you! You can see them at any point in your journey :)

Lots of water ! Staying hydrated is the key every time you pump make sure to have a glass of water. I was the same with 2-3 oz now I get 4-5 oz . I pumped for 15 min rest for 10 an do another 15. Mothers milk tea from target is good also I heard drinking and ipa can help . I’m still trying to increase my supply so I have a freezer stash

The flang size /suction mode from ur pump matter too make sure it’s right size and play around with the settings could help too

you should check with your local hospital, they should have lactation consultants/specialists! If for some reason yours doesn’t or if you’re far from a hospital then you can either google them near you or ask your pediatrician or your insurance if they know of one near you

Are you nursing at all? Baby can usually get more milk out than pretty much every pump out there. I'd try either pumping then nursing or nursing then pumping and see if either one makes a difference. Also stay hydrated!

have you tried miraculous moringa? :)
