Any mamas plan to continue to abstain from alcohol after giving birth? I have a personal goal to be sober for a full year from my last drink in December before I found out I was pregnant! I’m curious if anyone has any similar lifestyle goals!

I stopped drinking when I started fertility medication in October so I'm going to see how it goes.... I do feel like the next time I have a drink will be Christmas

definitely plan on cutting back for sure. little wine here and there maybe a drink if i go to a restaurant!

This is my goal as well!

I’m so glad to see other mamas who have the same goal as me!!

Nah… I’m not a heavy drinker by any means, rarely had more than one or two per week before pregnancy, but that first beer after having my daughter was glorious! As long as I’m not taking pain meds, I plan to celebrate the birth of my son with a beer too 🍻

Mine’s more of a nicotine situation. I had been vaping since 2018, and as soon as I had my second confirmed test, I threw the vape in the trash. My goal is to stay away from the nicotine once I have my little girl. It’s going to be hard because my husband and most of my dad’s side of the family also smokes, but it’s worth the challenge!

I became a full blown alcoholic after my first was born and I transitioned to a SAHM. Turned out that I wasn’t able to cope as well with that life transition and didn’t have the right support at the time. And the wine mom culture certainly didn’t help. I’ve been sober for almost 10 months now (also 20 weeks pregnant with second). And I plan on having my mom fly down to help me this time, I have a PP doula, and because it’s such a vulnerable period for me I plan on going back on Naltrexone to help me stay off the booze.
