Sitting up without support

My baby is also 5 months and will be 6 months next week and does not sit unsupportive… just know all baby are different. My baby also just started rolling over last week. My 15yr an 5yr old girls did everything a lot earlier . They rolled over by 4 months and were sitting unsupported by 6 months old. They also were teething and my baby is not teething yet. Maybe a little bit but don’t see anything…

Some babies may be able to early, but it's usually anywhere between 6-9 months. My baby girl can bring herself up if at an angle, but she still needs support of she'll fall over too.

My almost 6 month old baby needs to be supported for the most part but can sit unsupported here and there for a few seconds at a time before falling forward or sideways

My baby turns 6 months in 2 weeks too and he can’t sit unsupported, isn’t teething, and has stopped rolling over(he used to go tummy to back a lot)

is your baby focusing on other milestones like babbling or manipulating objects? Sometimes they have one thing they want to work on and get back to other stuff eventually. Although i would still mention it at the 6 month appt

he has started finding a lot of new noises to make and loves playing with things

there you go, little guy might just turn out to be a chatterbox like my girl. She did the same thing recently; started babbling and working on fm skills more and stopped rolling as much. She's now back to working on all milestones, even while fighting a cold! All of a sudden they surprise you

My baby sat wobbly at 5months, is now a pro at 6mo but will topple trying to grab something out of reach. Let him sit of the bed so when he falls it doesn’t hurt. The falling can actually help them with coordinating balance
