Anyone else have low iron? I had low iron with my first born and they gave me all these medication to take that made me really sick. I just got my blood test back for this pregnancy and my iron levels are low. My doctor hasn’t told me anything yet but I’m trying to find drinks or foods that can help bring my iron back up. I’m currently taking over the counter iron pills but is there anything I should try?

During my pregnancy my iron was super low and I had to get one IV iron transfusion because I couldn’t get it up on my own. But also I’ve been anemic since I was 13!

My doc just told me I have low iron as well even though I’m taking Prenatals with iron in them. She prescribed me liquid iron as the body absorbs it better but I haven’t been able to take it because you’re supposed to take it 30 minutes before a meal and I have random meal times. Lmao.

My iron level was low during pregnancy and I was prescribed the over the counter iron pills. I took beet juice that I made myself because I use to drink that anytime my iron level is low. It really helped my iron level and it is all natural because I made it myself. You can check google for the benefits of beet juice during pregnancy and also consult your doctor.

Order floradix. At least look it up. My mom was anemic for years and this is what she suggested to me. I just started it earlier this week, and I'm starting to feel better bit by bit. I felt like the blood was draining from my body.

I had low iron with my first pregnancy. They prescribed me iron supplements and honestly I took them every other day and I'd skip it all the time. I'm pregnant again and haven't been tested, but I'm not sure if I'd take extra iron again. My prenatal already have some in it... and I am skeptical of the dosages so I take them every other day. Black beans, spinach, and olives have iron. You could make burritos and put black beans in them, would make a good lunch item.

During my pregnancy I had low iron. My sister is a natural path Dr. She gave me vitamin d and an iron supplement that I took every night. Because if you have low vitamin d your body won’t “accept” the iron medication. I also the last 10 weeks of my pregnancy got iron transfusions and a k something shot once a week or two weeks I forgot.

I am 4 months pp and lost a lot of blood I just found out I had really low iron and starting taking Mega food blood builder iron pills. Heard a lot of good reviews hope they help. Also take with orange juice/ anything vitamin C so It absorbs the iron!
