Sitting up

Hi all my little one is 11 weeks old and few the last week or two all he wants to do is sit up he cracks up when lying down on your knee or even leaning back against your chest and as soon as I sit him up on my knee up right and hold him he’s full of smiles and giggles and just loves sitting up and looking round him and likes to act like a big boy

Because of this I’m finding it hard to keep him entertained with activities cause he wants to constantly sit up as supposed to lying down on his playmat or tummy time

Is there anything else I can do with him? He has very good head control and actually very good at sitting would it be too early to even try him in a high chair for 10mins or so with toys to let him explore?

Picture is the way he loves to sit and has very good head control

If you have the nuby baby bath seat I pop my LB in there it is the perfect recline so he can see what’s going on whilst not having him fully upright when he’s not strong enough. I literally carry him round in it from room to room so he’s always with me 😂

I have the same issue with my LG she’s almost 8 weeks and rather but sitting up looking around. I found using the toys that go on their hands and feet work really well. And also occasionally a 8 minute episode of bluey while she’s sitting in the middle of the bed so I can get dressed. Even so sitting up on the bed between pillows with a few teddies around works well as she’s talking away and smiling at them

My little girl is 10 weeks and she’s been doing this since 6/7 weeks . I put sensory / nursery songs on the tv and dance around with her . Or have her on my knees looking at me and coping facial expressions etc .

I use an app called my first 5 years and it gives loads of activities to do .
