Newborn with Tongue Tie/Reflux

Hello, I have a 3-week old who has tongue tie and seems to be suffering from bad gas and reflux. He gets fussy during and after nursing, and seems like he’s in pain, and he spits up large volumes of milk at night and is hardly sleeping at night. We are getting his tongue tie released in 10 days. Anything else I can do to help with the reflux and gas?

The tongue tie release in itself will help relieve a lot of these symptoms! It’s like night and day! At least it was for my LO. We did the stretches before the release and after (after was about two/three month) but it wasn’t bad. I’m still breastfeeding her at 20 months. It was the best thing we did for her. Maybe recline feeding too where your flow might not be so strong for him. Sometimes letdowns are too much and being in a recline position helps the letdown not rush into their mouths .

Tongue tie release and unfortunately had to get omeprazole for our first as the reflux was so bad and persistent. Good luck xxx

Thank you for your help!!
