Best baby carrier for FL heat???

We’re going to Disney World in August and I’m trying to find a very lightweight carrier. So far I bought the Solly Wrap, Ergobaby OmniBreeze, and Lillebaby Dragonfly Wrap based on researching what’s best for hot weather, but all of them just aren’t quite working out 😕 The Solly gets really hot already and my baby sweats, and the other two are super bulky, which automatically makes them hot and won’t be fun hauling all around the parks with all the other stuff we’re carrying.

Does anyone have any recommendations of carriers they love that might work for the heat and humidity?

Thanks so much!

Would love to hear recommendations as well since i live in alabama. i have a weesprout carrier and the ergo baby omnibreeze as well and they aren’t the best options

Yeah it’s a little frustrating, I was shocked when I opened the Omnibreeze and it was so thick and heavy. Starting to wonder if body wearing just isn’t viable in extreme heat and better to keep her in the stroller with a fan blowing on her constantly 🙈

Thanks for sharing! Looks like it could work, have you personally tried this one out? All the ones I bought had great reviews too, but still weren’t effective :/

Yeah her and i both generate body heat like nobody’s business. in the stroller with a fan might be best

Would also love this thread because we’re also doing Disney in August!

Thanks for the recommendation!! She’ll be 5 months in Aug so depends on her development but might not be ready for something like this by then. But good an idea for later! Probably would be more suitable for her dad more than me too, he’s stronger and I have enough shoulder/neck pain.

Konny Baby carrier! I have one that the material has holes for airflow and baby doesn't get too sweaty.

Unfortunately though being that it's Florida, and mid summer in August, you will all be hot and sweaty anyway. Definitely bring a portable fan/mister

Awesome thank you!! And literally just bought a misting fan last night for the trip, def gonna need it 😂

I second the Konny baby carrier! I have it & it’s very breathable. I’m also in FL

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

6 month old autistism

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism

Baby with chronic congestion

Hi everyone! My 1 year has been a congested baby since birth almost. She breathes through her mouth so often that it wakes her up multiple times at night and she cries and screams and then struggles to go back to sleep. She wakes up every 1-3 hours and sometimes can’t go back to sleep for 2-3 hours!!! Piriton is the only thing that seems to help her sleep mostly through the night but I can’t keep giving her that!!
Does anyone have tips as to have I can do or give her? Has anyone experienced? I have no idea when I’ll get an ENT appointment and I have no idea what he can give a 13 mo :( we are desperate for sleep so any tips are welcome!! We have tried steam inhalation, saline drops, vapour rubs and everything off the counter basically!

Combi feeding advice

Has anyone gone from EBF to combi feeding? Currently do one bottle of EBM per night and they one half formula half breast milk mixed in the day. The other times she still feeds on me. Ideally I want to feed all day via bottle and all night with breast. She’s 7 weeks and takes a bottle well, how long should I leave it before adding another bottle to her daily routine?
