Going abroad

I’m worried that when we go abroad there won’t be much for our little one to eat. We are going on a package holiday with jet2 to a 5 star resort that says it’s family friendly. I think I’m just overthinking - can someone reassure me all will be fine 🫣 before I start packing emergency weetabix and ready meals in our case haha

I'd honestly just offer a bit of everything on offer and see how they go! I went to tenerife when I was 8, solely loved off muffins at breakfast. Mini pizzas and chips maybe some pasta or rice when we didn't go out for tea. Still had a whale of a time! Treat it as anything goes and set expectations low, heat, change and things can be hard for them so take any little bit you get and then it won't feel so bad 💜 xx

It very much depends where you are going. We went last summer when lo was 8 months to Greece and even though we were in a half board, we opted for a family apartment and was the best decision ever because I could make him meals and all that. Also I found it very hard to find anywhere any baby food, so needed to cool everything from scratch and plenty of good fruits of course. But at the age they have now it should be easier, but again, depending where you go.

Thank you. We are going to Turkey but it’s very much a British holiday makers hotel from what I can tell! I guess I should just put no pressure on it, she loves eggs & bananas which are pretty universal so I’m sure we’ll get by 🤞🏽

You should be fine. I've never been to Turkey, but they are known for their hospitality, and if its a british resort anyway, you will find everything adapted as well as local cuisine. Also, enjoy your holiday ❤️❤️❤️

We went on a cruise where the adult food was just like, so not toddler friendly but they had a whole kids menu. Most places have a kids menu don’t they? I emailed before we left and asked to view the children’s menu if it’s possible for you to try that x

Depends on your child but my 16 month old is used to eating anything he was most eating off our plate when we went on a cruise at the beginning of the month. Baby food was too bland for him 😂 but you will get pretty much anything anywhere nowadays
