Reduced movement advice please

Hi I’m 29+4, baby is normally incredibly active at night and often wakes me up kicking. However when I woke a few times to get comfy I didn’t feel him. He’s definitely kicked today but has been less wriggly and the kicks are not as strong/ distinctive. Is this classed as reduced movement? I’ve had some pelvic pain and pressure the past few days too that just won’t shift but I’m just unsure whether I need to go in as he’s still moving, I’ve felt him but it’s not what I would say his normal pattern?

I think that counts as reduced movements as they have changed and they should be strong. I would recommend ringing triage and seeing what they say

If it was me I’d definitely get checked xx

Always safe to get checked 🤍

No doubt it’s just my child being awkward and has moved into a difficult place but I’m just not sure and I think that’s making me doubt

@Sophie I am sure you’re okay but you’ll never know for sure until you get checked. I was back and forth when I was pregnant I don’t regret going as many times as I did and I’d do it all over again if I had to. You won’t regret going in and getting checked. The fact you’re doubting is a sign to get checked x

Go in and get checked x

Thanks everyone,I think you’ve all put my mind at ease that I’m not being crazy and I should just get checked to know he’s okay, I don’t think I’m going to get that reassurance I need without it

You’re not being crazy at all! It’s annoying when we will feel like we are overreacting so don’t call but I saw a statistic yesterday on the Tommy’s website that said “Around half of women who had a stillbirth noticed their baby’s movements had slowed down or stopped.” I think that shows how important it is to go and I will use this as a reminder to myself

@Reema oh yes they told me this in MAU! X

Thanks everyone, heard him on the Doppler and now being strapped to the monitor to check him, I bet he will be a right wriggler now!

I had this last week and as soon as I got strapped up to the monitor baby started doing gymnastics 🥲😂😂

He definitely moved less on the monitor than his usual amount however he did do his usual of trying to kick it off and has infact been awake all night making sure I’m aware he’s doing his dancing in there!

If you ever have any concern whatsoever about your babies movements you must get checked over. That's my bossy obstetrician voice coming out! X

@Sophie if you still aren’t happy go back xx

@Amy no I’m happy, once we left we picked up his movements and went back to his usual self thankfully! X

@Amy I’ve not had an easy pregnancy and this is the first week I’ve probably not had a stressful week in months so he thought hmm let me add to that !

@Sophie oh bless you! Hopefully you can have a restful few weeks! X
