Nursery deposit

Has anyone had an experience with Alexander house nursery in Earlsfield? They’re asking for a large deposit that doesn’t seem deductible. I’m wondering if this was normal…?

Hi, Nursery I will be going with in Mitcham is also asking for a month deposit. I think it’s standard to ensure they don’t keep a space for you and you decide to go with someone else.

Some nurseries deduct the deposit from the last month, not the first month you attend. By the time baby starts you will have paid deposit + 1 month. And then you keep paying monthly until you take them off. Maybe that’s why you’re not seeing it being deducted?

Deposits are paid to secure your childs place, this is usually deducted from your final bill when your child leaves the setting and not the 1st bill when they start. Pretty standard for most Nurseries 👌
