Yes ! Toddler stage is challenging ! But also such a rewarding time to witness their development and growth. Children are not built with the ability to regulate their emotions, they start to acknowledge that they feel them and it’s our job to recognize and identify each emotion and begin to teach them what they are feeling 🤍 it’s not easy to remember to teach them in the moment of a tantrum because when someone is screaming at us, I will fight or flight mode kicks into gear, but it’s important to breathe, acknowledge that they need you to help them navigate the situation and get on their level and allow your calm to be their calm. Lastly always remember that their tantrum isn’t a personal attack against you. Sometimes they need something and don’t know how to say it, I always ask my son if he needs a hug and he says yes and that immediately stimulates oxytocin between the both and calms him

@Ivy I'm sure she actually knows all that and also finds it rewarding!! She wasn't asking about how to handle it. Sometimes you just need a rant. It's hard, as sometimes these "tips" don't always work.
