Did you get a cab home from hospital?

I live in BK and plan on giving birth at Lenox Hill (UES) this summer. I am a little worried because I don't own a car, nor do my friends. Renting a car sounds a bit unnecessary, especially as I probably won't know when I am going into labor or am being discharged. Can anyone recommend a reputable NYC cab company? One that will be helpful and patient while my partner and I install a new infant car seat? 😅

Well if you can rent a car I say use zip car cuz you can find a car anywhere and pay per hour. I say Ask your insurance if they pay for transportation especially if you have Medicaid cuz they do pay to get home

We used uber and it was fine

I did zip car as well

We took an uber with no issue

We live in Queens and I delivered in Mount Sinai in Manhattan. We rented a car so we could practice installing the car seat without pressure. But I had a planned C-section so I knew when I'd be delivering.

If you do take Uber or a yellow cab, leave the car door open UNTIL baby is securely in the car seat.... Some of these drivers have no sense.

Uber
