My first birth was really scary. My husband wants me to schedule a c-section this time around. This is probably gonna make me sound terrible but I’ve always been scared if I get a c-section my tummy would never be flat and perfect again. My husband says I can just get a tummy tuck later, but I’m kinda against not being natural (for myself). I totally get why he rather us get the c-section. The whole birth was really traumatic for the 3 of us- my poor baby included, and I know my reason against a c-section may sound silly and maybe even selfish to most, but my relationship with my body/ looks is a deep & complicated one and I know the depression I could go into not liking how my body looks. Please no hate guys. I will always do what’s best for my kids first and foremost and of course if a c-section is needed for my child to safely enter this world I’ll do it in a heartbeat. My husband is just trying to get ahead and avoid any chances of our last experience repeating itself but I rather try vaginal birth again.

Try speaking to Yr midwife about the risk of a vaginal birth. And she will be able to point u in the right direction. U can voice wishes and see what she thinks. If she think u should struggle with it then I'd say go ahead a try that way first. I've had a c section sooo I totally understand I got told I might need one but wanted to try it the vag way and that didn't work out for me because things went down hill but the team I had worked quickly and I got taken straight down. But if I gey the choice again I'd always Try vag way. C section is major surgery and u can't walk right for a few day and yeh u will have a scar but it easy to hide. I barely notice mine and I'm sure with the right makeup u could cover it.. it completely up to u. Try talking to ur partner about this also. Explore all ur options. If the midwife thinks a C section would be best there normally correct. Trust in ur midwife and doctors they will try put ur wishes above anything. Hope this helps a little
