@Tess thank you for your message 💕Is it sometimes the case that they would usually prefer for someone with low platelets to have a c sectjon and that’s why they want you to see the Anaesthesiologist? Xx
I think it’s the opposite. As it’s harder for blood to clot they would be more likely to try and avoid a c section or epidural. Might have to be extra cautious if it gets to that, but consultant said that the number is still fine at the moment ❤️
Hey, I do! Platelets were at 144 at the beginning of pregnancy and have dropped. The past few months they’ve consistently been around 120. Midwife seemed concerned and arranged for me to see anaesthesiologist in a couple of weeks, but I’ve been seeing consultant for other reasons and they’ve told me they’re not sure why midwife is worried. That the number is fine and wouldn’t even bat an eye unless it’s bellow 80 x
