First appointment
Hi called the GP who then gave me the number for the maternity hospital and when I called the hospital they took down my details and said a midwife would call me. It’s been over a week and I haven’t received a phone call. I am 6+3.
Wanted to know when the first appointment usually happens and how much notice do they give ahead of the appointment?

Every area is different but don’t be surprised if it’s after 10 weeks. I’m in Staffordshire and the booking appointments for both pregnancies were after 10 weeks. It depends on the area and how busy they are. If you haven’t heard anything by 9+3 ish call the maternity hospital or midwife hub to chase it up. I wouldn’t worry much before then though.
I phoned the midwife last Thursday and they rang me today and booked me in for Sunday and I’m 6 weeks today xx
Same experience for me, anxiously waiting for them to give me a ring back, I called them on Wednesday!
