@Anna her legs are absolutely COVERED. She just went for her well check 2 weeks ago, also covered in bruises and they didn't say anything about them
Yes I my adventure baby has multiple spotted bruises on his legs and arms. He trips a lot because he’s not real stable walking after MONTHS of walking!! The bruises aren’t too dark or anything, but I’ve never thought about testing him for anemia. I have anemia myself and bruise pretty easily (along with lots of other lovely things having to do with anemia) but I didn’t think my child could have it because mine was diagnosed from after birth 3 years ago now.
My 15 month sold has dermatographia so he marks very easy… i just keep an eye on him. He does have some bruises that linger because he always tends to hit the same spots 🤦🏻♀️… so I just make sure I know where every mark comes from and keep an eye on any that last more than a day. The doctor said there’s nothing we can do about it. I’m not gonna put him in a bubble be wise he’s not really harming himself and he wants to explore so we’re just mindful.
Yes I feel so guilty but I feel there’s nothing I can really do. I def hover over her but she still manages to get hurt at least once a week
I have an adventure baby too, but I'd say she's only gotten a bruise like once. That includes some pretty hard head bonks. It may be worth mentioning to your pediatrician and asking for testing to rule out anemia.
