We're due with a baby girl in August and we're pretty much set on the first and middle names. Both names are to honour both grandmothers.
However, I've recently had a horrible thought that my dad won't be honoured at all. With my first, he shares names that honour my father in law and my brother (it was a compromise between me and my husband to use both). We figured if we had another boy we would have the chance to honour my dad.
If we don't use a name to honour my dad, he'd be the only family member who's not being honoured and I don't want him feeling upset about it. I wouldn't mind having a second middle name.
I'd love a few suggestions that share the same or similar meaning to Neil (champion).

Nellie

I second Nellie!

Nellie, Corneila?
I found this - . Neilina. A Scottish girls’ name with a beautiful sound, Neilina is the feminine form of Neil, which in Irish is Niall. It’s pronounced NAY-lee-na and means “hero” or “cloud.”

These mean Champion :
Josslyn (and a million spelling variations)
Cassia
Nelina

Love Neilina

Nellie instantly came to mind. Other options are Neila, Nell, Nyla

Penelope aka Nellie xx

Nielle maybe? You could say it like "nye-elle" if that makes sense 🩷 or Naelle, pronounced like "nay-elle" 🩷

If you look up what Naelle sounds like to say, it's super pretty
