NIPT

My last pregnancy was an IVF pregnancy and we opted to do NIPT even though we knew we had transferred a PGT normal embryo and already knew the sex. If you get an extended panel, they can also test for some common microdeletions that I don’t think can be captured in PGT. Basically ours was just a double confirmation that the embryo was fine.

@elise same . Just got results today and everything came back negative and also confirmed the gender (girl 💕)

@Elise @Mae how long did it take for results to come back?

For my last one done back in October (which I ended up losing at 17 weeks) and this one, it took exactly a week from collection.

I’m an IVF mama. My embryos are not tested. We did nipt testing with our 1st and will do it again. Dr recommended it, even if tested embryos

@Elise I’m so sorry for your loss . Do they tell you the possible cause?

@MaeYes - my loss was due to IVF essentially. I had a SCH as a result of doing an embryo transfer and being hopped up on all the IVF hormones and it got out of control and led to placental abruption.

@Elise so sorry this happened to you. But congrats on your rainbow baby! 🌈. I’m currently 13 weeks pregnant with IVF baby girl 💕
