I requested testing from my pcp which is how I got diagnosed. I don’t think you can see an endocrinologist without a referral, but you can just tell your pcp what your symptoms are and request the blood draw

You should also be aware that if your are pregnant, your thyroid levels can impact the health of your baby, so if you suspect you have a problem and you’re pregnant or planning to be, you should get tested right away.

My ob keeps an eye on my thyroid levels every 7-10 weeks because I was on thyroid meds at one point and don’t remember it. My thyroid luckily has been fine!

I was just tested and found out my TSH is low indicating hyperthyroidism. Just ask your pcp for a blood panel. If anything is wrong they will refer you to endo.

Do you have a Labcorp near you? You can purchase certain tests on demand without needing your doctor’s approval. https://www.ondemand.labcorp.com/search?page=1&search_query=Thyroid+
