Irish passport
Hi girls,
I'm in the process of doing my baby's first passport (Irish). Do you know if the Verification of Identity needs to be signed off by the police ? Or just the same witness ?

Its only police in the south- we can use any witness from the list of jobs- they have to sign the form for both guardians x

I think it depends if you put that you’re an Irish or British citizen for your own nationality?
Just a witness is fine! Deffo be prepared to wait a while!! My little boys took almost 8 weeks all in🥲🥲
@Roisin We need it for July so hopefully it's early enough 😬 @Aine my partner had the Irish passport, and I feel it's easier to get this one rather than the British one 😆
Only police in the South. I've just done my baby boys Irish passport and got my mums friend who is a nurse to be witness xx

I think it’s the same witness. I only had to get them to sign everything and then the passport office rang them to verify!
