Holidays abroad

Anyone who has travelled with their LO already can you please give me some tips on what to do/bring/avoid? We are going to Mallorca at the beginning of June for a week. Do you bring nappies and wipes for a week or buy them there? I’m flying with Ryanair so I assume I can bring my normal hand luggage and then a baby change bag with extra things? I am also wondering does it get chilly at night to the point that I should pack longers bottoms and jackets too? My baby also has CMPA so I’m worried about food options for him too.

You can take whatever drinks and snacks baby needs through security at the airport so if he’s on formula you can bring it through, also you can bring water through for babies. I always take a carrier for the airport as at some airports you don’t get the pram back until the luggage carousel (I’m not sure how Majorca is). Nappies depends on how much space you have and how close to shops you are staying but I’m sure you won’t have a problem either way. If you are taking a car seat you can pad the box/bag out with nappies. You will get a changing bag in addition to your own carry on- check the dimensions allowed but no one has ever questioned mine and we fly back and forth to Geneva most months. Have a lovely holiday!

My baby is CMPA too and we just got back from Tenerife . DM me If you want x

I just got back from Mallorca yesterday after a week away! I was chilly on an evening in longer stuff and a Cardigan or hoodie but it'll be warmer when you go. Check with Ryanair what extra baggage you get, we went with jet2 and got an extra 10kg of hold luggage

For the extra baggage for a car seat etc we've put the car seat in a bag and then filled it up with nappies and pouches so she would have something to eat. Another thing I've found useful to bring is the bath thermometer (for the bath and the pool) For bottled water (to make the formula) I was advised by my paediatrician to use Evian (as it has a low salt content) I also bought our night light with us Would bring the baby carrier for the airport as sometimes you don't get your pram back until baggage reclaim so it can be far to walk with the baby

We’re travelling for the first time in June when baby will be 11 months and I’m so nervous for it! I’ve been trying to write a list based off what others have suggested and here’s some things I’ve wrote with the exception of baby clothes: Baby towel/ poncho for pool. Inflatable bath tub (to use in room and by pool) Pop up bowl to wash and sterilise bottles. Swim nappies Bottles Bottle brush Dummies/ dummy case Dummy clip Milton tablets/ Milton wipes Nappies Wet wipes Nappy sacks Sudocream Talc Body wash Shampoo Cotton buds/ cotton pads Nail clippers Sun cream Calpol/ nurofen/ medicine syringe Teething stuff Vicks Nasal spray Formula/ ready made bottles Pram fan Power bank charger Parasol for pram Comfort blanket for plane Baby ear protector for plane Cot sheet New toys for plane/ suction toys for window Pool float Cellular blanket Muslin cloths Thermometer Mosquito repellent Bath temp Moisturiser Then food choices I’ve got: Bowl/ feeding spoons Sippy cup

Ella’s kitchen pouches (I’m gonna take about 10 of these as I’m going for 7 days as a back up incase all inclusive food is rubbish) Plenty of snacks Fruit smoothie pouches to cool down I’m sure I’ve gone over board but I’d rather be on the safe side🙈 also panicking on how I’m going to fit all this besides his clothes lol🤣xx

I buy nappies, wipes and food at location. But I was only travelling to countries with standards very close to those in UK.

We’ve taken our little bit abroad 6 times already (I know haha!£ and my biggest advice is to RELAX. We take one suitcase for all 3 of us and it makes it a lot easier if you don’t overpack as there’s already so much to juggle. One tip is to decide/write down yours and your babies outfits for every day then roll them up together. Means you only pack what you need! In some countries, nappies are waaay more expensive (weve had this in portugal & lanzarote) so take as many as you can. Definitely bring long bottoms & tops - even if just a few!
