Best brand for Nappies size 4

Hello moms! We have a bit of a dilemma because we’ve always used ALDI mamia from newborn to size 3. We found them very good value for money. Now we have switched to size 4 and it looks like the quality has come down dramatically??? They keep leaking and the stuff inside coming out which is a nightmare everytime that happens. We have decided to stop using them however other brands that seem to be better quality like huggies and pampers are quite expensive for the amount of nappies that come.

In your opinion and experience, What brand is the best for nappies size 4 that are also affordable???

Please help!!!!💙💙💙💙💙

I have also noticed this exact suitation with aldi size 4, try brands like Little Angel from asda or tesco Product, then go back to Aldi's mamia from size 5. This was what i did for my 2 kids, and I also mentioned it to my friends. I think there is something wrong with aldi size 4

Not sure about the bigger sizes but we use Sainsbury's size 1 and we are happy with them. Might be worth a try ☺️

We hace tried sainsburys size 4 too but they are as thin as a paper and leak so much as well🫣

I use Aldi 4+ and haven’t had a problem with them. They’re pretty much the same weight band as the 4’s - have you given them a go?

Morrisons own brand are fab. Prefer them over the others.

We use Aldi size four nappy pants instead of the nappies and they are great quality and much more convenient!

We had the same issue when we reached size 3 so we switched to Pampers and haven’t looked back

I use generic or store brand for one they cheeper and never had a problem with them falling apart or leaking as much as even Huggies I hated Huggies when I had some given they leak twice as fast as just cheep store brand like smiths/Kroger or even Walmart or WinCo just cheapest on shelf has always worked best for me more for money and typically lasts longer then the expensive name brands hahaha and I'm soon to have my 6th kid and still have 2 soon to be three in diapers at all time and another that still wears pullups at night for bed wetting

And also found using pullups after kid is walking makes for much easier diaper changing haha

I used asdas nappies
They are amazing for my daughter as she’s never leaked from them but she’s in 5+ now
They are really good

Morrisons nutmeg ones are great

Little angels or fred&flo. Sainsburys always leaked for us.

Lidl is worth a try. They are much thinner than Aldi which deflates me when I opened the pack but they’ve been brilliant. My daughter sleeps for 14+ hours and not a leak!

Avatar

How weird. I thought the exact same thing! But then when she needed size 5 and up, we went back to aldi and it was fine. But I used Morrisons nutmeg

Avatar

Tesco Fred and Flo I’ve used since she was born never had a problem X

Love love love Asda little angels size 4’s!! £4.99 for a jumbo pack of 96 and they are 12 hour leak proof!

We use Aldi during the day still bc they’re fine for that for us (also size 4) and Pampers just at night so it’s not crazy expensive as it’s just one a night

boots baby or boots baby bamboo are my faves!!

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Baby with chronic congestion

Hi everyone! My 1 year has been a congested baby since birth almost. She breathes through her mouth so often that it wakes her up multiple times at night and she cries and screams and then struggles to go back to sleep. She wakes up every 1-3 hours and sometimes can’t go back to sleep for 2-3 hours!!! Piriton is the only thing that seems to help her sleep mostly through the night but I can’t keep giving her that!!
Does anyone have tips as to have I can do or give her? Has anyone experienced? I have no idea when I’ll get an ENT appointment and I have no idea what he can give a 13 mo :( we are desperate for sleep so any tips are welcome!! We have tried steam inhalation, saline drops, vapour rubs and everything off the counter basically!

Combi feeding advice

Has anyone gone from EBF to combi feeding? Currently do one bottle of EBM per night and they one half formula half breast milk mixed in the day. The other times she still feeds on me. Ideally I want to feed all day via bottle and all night with breast. She’s 7 weeks and takes a bottle well, how long should I leave it before adding another bottle to her daily routine?
