Grabbing head and ears

My 4-month-old has been grabbing his ears and touching/holding his head lately... it seems to be when he's tired... but I don't want to just shrug it off if it could be something else... should I worry about it and talk to his Dr? Or could this be just him exploring his face/head and telling me he's tired?

My LO does this too! I believe it’s just a cue for feeling sleepy. But it does stress me out cause sometimes I feel like my little one can be rough lol.

Mine also dose that. I make sure to keep his nails short so he can't cut himself

Sometimes grabbing ears can be an ear infection. It’s also a sign of being tired though. See if he does it at all after a good nap. If he only does it before nap time I wouldn’t worry

I wouldn’t worry about it unless he’s super fussy and grabbing at one ear, signaling maybe an ear infection.. But playing with hair, rubbing head, things like that is signs of being tired! my 4 month old HASSS to play with her hair to fall asleep lol❤️

My daughter has rubbed her head since she was a baby it's bow she puts her self to sleep when she's sleepy 🤣 I noticed my daughter pulling at her ears lately but it's because she had recently started teething. I don't necessarily think it's something concerning. But trust your mom gut. If you feel you should bring it up go ahead.

Thank you all so much for putting me at ease!!! ❤️

That’s a sleepy cue
