in Mom's going through divorce/separation/ breakups

Weird situation

When did you start telling people you were separated? Did you wait, let people find out on their own/assume or tell them. I have only told immediate family but we have been separated for about 2 months. I think our friends/acquaintances/coworkers are just wondering what is going on. Unfortunately we work in the same building but thankfully separate departments and separate floors.

Separated at 7 weeks postpartum. With no help. Told my best friends right away, told my mom a couple days later (it was a big last straw drama situation with police involved), told some other family a few months later, and put it on social media 6 or 7 months after

Regarding friends , for a few i did not had to tell, he was the one who told them.i guess he felt i would be so devastaded ibwould need someone to keep an eye on me.a few days later i told immediate family, and for other friends i only was able to do it a couple of months later.. take your time.it gets easier.

I didn’t tell my family until I filed for divorce I was separated 3 yrs before that. It was more of and fyi situation. I needed time to heal and get past the embarrassment and be able to tell the story without being emotional. I’ve been officially divorced 4 months and it’s awesome lol.

I’m definitely hoping for that with everyone going thru this. Divorce sucks but being on the other side is awesome and peaceful. I avoid unnecessary communication with my ex whenever I can lol

Tricky one, my closest knew. And i had the urge to tell ppl which I think is unnecessary
