HCG levels going up too fast

Sounds like a multiple pregnancy. Higher HCG can be an indication of twins but it doesn’t mean you definitely have twins. It typically is higher with twins though

They did a scan today and only saw one sac. That was before the HCG level came back today.

Can still be a singleton. Mine was like that, and I had scans at 3, 4, 6, and 9 weeks so I know that there wasn’t a vanishing Twin. The baseline is to double, but it can rise faster. If it went like 8 times higher, that could be a sign of a molar pregnancy, but if you guys haven’t seen anything, questionable on an ultrasound, then I would say you’re fine.

Best case scenario it’s twins! I have been having some brown spotting and red spotting twice so I’m hoping it’s not molar 🤞🏽🤞🏽

Doesn’t mean your having twins lol. Just means you are having a viable pregnancy.

I had fast rising hcg with one baby, unfortunately I lost that pregnancy at 11w5d. My first hcg taken at 4w5d was 4440 and then the 2nd was at 5w was at 12000. I had to have a d&c. Also high hcg happens with downs syndrome babies as well. If they saw only one sac it's most likely 1 baby. I had a pregnancy with twins and my hcg was perfectly normal. So I do not believe higher hcg indicates twins.

Finally talked to my doc and he did everything looked spot on and normal 🤞🏽🤞🏽 still keeping my fingers crossed
