How accurate??

I seen some people post that on the sneak peak the results were something and on the ultrasound it was something else (gender ).. How likely is it to be incorrect?

I was team green at first but then i got my results for the first blood work that said the gender.
I was really debating on looking, but i decided to finally look because i honestly felt no connection to baby and it hadnt really hit me that im pregnant. I had a feeling i was having a Girl and when i looked at the results it finally hit me and im soooo happy i am having a little girl! The connection is there and im just sooo excited!! Im just hoping she doesn’t switch it up on us and grows little balls lol… ill still be happy of course, just that i have 2 boys and one girl lol and the youngest is my baby rn 17m old. No matter what i will love my baby..

The possibility of it being wrong increases if you do it at home, where it's not a sterile environment.
The test looks for any trace of a Y chromosome. If yes it will say boy, if no it will say girl.

The most common reasons it would be wrong are if there isn't enough fetal DNA in your blood to detect in which case it should tell you its inconclusive, or if in a non-sterile environment if you happen to have male DNA around it can pick it up from the draw.

I went to an ultrasound clinic (5 stars and everything); they told me we were having a girl…..my baby boy came on October 14th 😂

The blood work is usually right. I want a boy so bad. Have 4 girls

Sneak peak is more trustworthy/accurate if your results are a girl, since if results are a boy there is always the possibility that it was contaminated by males in the household. I did it at home, two males in my household but they were in other rooms; I was very careful about sanitizing my area (used a fresh paper towel to dry my hands, etc) and got a girl result and it’s been confirmed multiple times (genetic testing and multiple ultrasounds). If it’s not your first baby I think I’ve heard that sometimes some male dna can hang around in your blood if it was a boy. In your case with the girl result and the fact you had boy babies in the past, sounds like it’s going to be accurate! Congrats.

I was born in "87" but my mom was told I was going to be a boy. She had three boys names picked out. I came home in a blue baseball jacket and wasn't named for the first two days. Technology has changed alot since then. All of my ultrasounds were correct. Never got the results from anywhere else

I think if you're early on it's less accurate. If you did it past 14 weeks it's a pretty solid result was what my OB told me
