How long should I wait?

So I had a miscarriage that started on the 18th, my bleeding has pretty much stopped now, I found out at my 8 week scan that I had an empty sac, and then started miscarrying at 10 weeks, but it looked like the sac stopped growing at about 5/6 weeks. How long should I be waiting to start checking ovulation and start trying again? It took 4 years to conceive so I’m just anxious it won’t happen again😅

I tested for ovulation 7 days after my miscarriage and fell pregnant right away the same cycle! If you need a chat I’m here xxx

They recommend you wait until your first national period but thats only for dating purposes. I did after my first loss but the second time I didn't as it's only for dating not health reasons and I'm always irregular anyway so doesn't really make a difference. I just felt I needed to try sooner rather than later. Your more fertile for the first couple of months after a loss too so I'd say start trying whenever you feel physically and emotionally ready.

For dating purposes they like you to have a period in between. But you can try as soon as your ready. Ideally you should check you've got a negative pregnancy test before starting again. But I think once the bleeding stops you are OK to treat it as your cycle. They do say you can get pregnant sooner after a loss. I went through similar and conceived my son the first cycle to tried again. Good luck on your journey.
