Anyone else’s appointments keep being messed up by NHS?!

I’m suppose to have growth scans and couple times they’ve rang me randomly to ask where I am because they’ve messed up sending me the appointment booking so I never actually knew it was happening and they just booked it xx

I've had quite a few mixed up or moved around last minute. They said it's because there's a much higher than normal amount of May babies, so it's really tight to get everyone in for everything. It's weird because with my first everything was so smooth and she was (supposed to be) a late August / early Sept baby, which is the normal peak baby season. I'm guessing they plan for the August/September peak though, and maybe not this random May peak 😅

I had a consultant forget to write something in my notes and now my entire care plan has been pushed back a week and they tried getting me to have an induction because of their mistake and I refused

Mine have been all over the place. I’ve turned up to appointments which were in badger notes to be told I don’t have one, I’ve been booked in to see certain specialists that don’t even work in the hospital they booked us in with and even had our birthing hospital changed without us knowing. Tbh I gave up with the whole midwife process as that’s where my issues stemmed from and I just deal directly with the hospital now. Hope yours get better! Just think, you’re almost there

@Holly oh really!? It’s really cluttered and all appointments are squished together. The waiting room is so busy and hot just awful

@Paige thank you you too. My appointments have been constantly messed up. My 20 week one had to be rebooked in as they couldn’t get certain measurements. My following appointment was at 8am and I didn’t get seen until 9 because they said that my sonographer wasn’t in yet??? Like huh

Yep i was given a letter for my c section date but they phoned to change it but they had a different date down. Its a little frustrating.

Yep was ment to have a growth scan at 34 weeks requested by fetal medicine had a text reminder everything when I got there I was told my appointment was cancelled a week before plus side my mum was there and managed to get me in for an appointment 3 hours later. Was told it was cancelled because I had a scan at 36 weeks 😂
