Date of misscarriage

We had our 12 week scan last Tuesday and found out there was no heartbeat and baby stopped growing at 8 weeks 5 days. I was then booked in for medication for my missed miscarriage 2 days later, and the medication worked and I passed the baby the same day (I also ended up in A&E with the amount bleeding and fainting) I’m just not sure when to date our miscarriage..is it when we found out? Is it when I passed the baby? Or is it when the baby actually died? I feel a bit lost, and I want to be able to have a set date so I can remember my baby.

I went and found out on Saturday by babies was measuring 6week and not 10 I knew then.... I had them on the 29th. That's the day I will remember. They told me I had to ride it out cause they wasn't 100% sure if the dates was wrong sorry its a shitty feeling and I don't no what to do with myself

@Roseanna yeah I think I will go by the date I had them on. It is the most awful thing I have ever gone through. I am so sorry for your loss x

I had a missed miscarriage recently and was wondering the same thing. I started bleeding at almost 12 weeks not long before my first scan was due and found out the same day that the baby had stopped growing at some point, but I don't really know when. It makes sense to remember the day they passed. I'm so sorry for your loss. I wish nobody had to go through this x

I’m going off the date it was officially confirmed. Which was sadly today.

@Jess I’m so sorry you’ve had to go through this too. I had a missed misscarriage too, but had no warnings, I had slight cramps and the week before our 12 week scan but was told that was “normal”. I’m going to go by the date I lost the baby from my body. Xx

@Filana I’m so sorry! It is the worst feeling I have ever had. We are just over a week on from the day we found out. The pain gets easier every day, I’m so sorry x
