British Ms Rachel ?

Is there something equivalent / as good as Ms Rachel that is British? My little girl loves watching her, but she’s starting to learn the American pronunciation of certain words etc.
Before anyone lectures me on how screen time isn’t good, she only gets it in the car, otherwise I’d never get anywhere as she hates car journeys. And yes, I’ve tried other things before giving screen time.

It's not British miss Rachel but we've just started watching

The wiggles.

Our son enjoys it, the songs aren't annoying 😂 and some bits are fairly educational (about brushing teeth, going to toilet, washing hands etc....) x

I know it’s not quite the same but my lo loves Mr Tumble and it’s great for sign language and speech, also I found Show me Show me on CBeebies got him saying more new words as well and it’s really calming

i already do her voice annoys me 😂😂

Boey bear is similar kind of - it’s British so that’s a start, not as catchy as Mrs Rachel!

My daughter now says water, fast and grass with an American accent and is picking up ASL instead of the BSL we are teaching her 🫠 she doesn’t even watch it that much!

Try Miss Katie's Class, or Mr tumble!

Thanks everyone !

I’ve tried Mr Tumble before but my little girl wasn’t a fan. I’m yet to find anything that beats Ms Rachel. Apart from being American I can’t fault her 😅
Can be annoying but then every baby / toddler program is going to be annoying to an adult.

I’ve literally just googled this myself🤣 keen to find out!!

My 3 year old has always loved the wiggles, and Steve and Maggie!

I wouldn't dream of telling parents about screen time. I watch a fair bit of it and my favourite hang out is the cinema.
I don't know anything about beauty pageants but if there isn't any you could always set one up

Avatar

beauty pageants? I’m confused…

Avatar

I don’t know how anyone can watch her, her voice is so annoying

Yes there’s one called Miss apple, basically a clone of ms Rachel but British

Following as I’m an American living in the UK but I want my child to sound British like her dad & not American like me 🤣🤣

Avatar

I take it you mean Queen's English British and not Northern grouse British 😅 (I'm from Cheshire) like America we have a broad range of accents

Avatar

There are British versions but I’ve found imo none of them are as good as miss Rachel. She uses speech and language techniques to help children to talk

Avatar

I’ve just had a look, yeah she’s good.

Avatar

I agree with you, her videos are much better than any others I’ve seen.

Avatar

my little one loves Mr Tumble too! X

Mr Tumble!

I like Ms Moni, the Australian Miss Rachel

Avatar

Yes! She's called miss Katie

Try Ms Apple, she’s a UK version and her voice is so much nicer! miss Katie sadly copies all of Ms Apple’s videos! She isn’t original at all!!

I agree with the Ms Apple suggestions, she's a favourite in our house.
