4 Month Sleep Regression

Hello ,

So currently going through sleep regression with my little boy, who goes down at about 9:15/9:30 for bed. Wakes up around 12am looking for his dummy or to be re settled. Then wakes up again around 2:30/3am for milk and a few more times again looking for dummy and maybe he will wake up one final time around 5:30/6am for a bottle.

Before the sleep regression he would go down the same time in the night and sleep through till 5am for his milk.

My question is will he go back to sleeping through once the sleep regression is over ????

Sorry to jump on it just popped up on my feed!

Your issues seem more with the dummy than the sleep regression.

My baby is 6 months and has been in the sleep regression since 4 months waking every hour overnight (he’s never taken a dummy).

Your baby sounds like he relies on the dummy to sleep and so when it drops out/ he can’t find it it wakes him up. A lot of people wean off the dummy at this stage as it starts to cause more problems than it solves.

Night feeds are very normal for such a young baby and sleep isn’t linear as much as we wish it was! A baby who previously didn’t need them can go through a stage of needing them again. My baby used to sleep 10 hours through the night now he feeds 7x a night x
