Show me your bike!

So we have decided to get a bike for my son’s 3rd bd in July. He has a scooter who can he loves and uses all the time and is very fast on. He never tried a running bike or anything like that, but he is I retested in bicycles and he said he wants one! I’m think a two-wheel bike with small training wheels, rather than a tricycle. If you have one, of have chosen one for this summer, can you share which make and model you like? Any budget, I’m happy to spend as it’s a birthday present.

I'd honestly go for a balance bike! Stabilisers do them absolutely no favours If you have a tall 3yr old maybe go for a lightweight normal bike and remove the pedals or a bigger than average balance bike

Do you have a Halfords or smyths near you might be worth taking him to try a few balance bikes and pedal bikes! We’re getting maxi a pedal bike with stabilisers as he’s great on the balance bikes and other pedal toys we have! He’s absolutely desperate to ride his brother’s pedal bike but is too small to reach the handles and pedals!

Axon has a Woom 1 which doesn’t have much growing room left but he’s been riding it for like a year. He’ll get a Woom 2 most likely when his inside leg measurement is long enough. If he were more sensible I’d have already got him a pedal bike, an islabike cnoc 14s because that’s the only one small enough, but he’s being a pain about listening and he’s plenty fast as it is. Ada has a Woom 3 now, she had a Woom 2 and now her cousin has it. She could do with a 4 soon, hers is currently rented from the bike club and axons we own. If you can’t tell I love Woom bikes, they’re very light and the components are properly child sized and they have nice details like colour coded brakes and a steering limiter that stops some falls. We’ve not done stabilisers, just balancing till they’re ready (Ada was on and off pedals till she was confident and strong enough)
