Nurseries/Childminder

Is anyone else feeling completely overwhelmed by choosing nurseries? I didn't know where to start.

I’ve chosen which ones to go look at based on reviews, if you go on Google maps and search for the local nurseries they should have some reviews attached :)

Childcare app is brilliant. Helped me cut through the noise!

My family and I are hopefully 🤞🏻 moving into our first home together during the summer. So I googled places close to that address but omg it was so overwhelming! Especially as I don’t drive (can’t drive lol) and my partner can drive but we can’t afford a car, so we’d be walking to the nursery from home.

I got VERY lucky and found. One super close, which we liked instantly.

In this situation google is your best friend. If you haven’t found somewhere yet keep googling and you should be able to find someone/somewhere

Ive went for one that suits my needs best, opens early enough for me to drop off in time to get to work, close proximity to our house and to other family members.
In my area the prices are much of a muchness too,

Also helps that i know others including my own niece that goes to the place so can vouch that the care is good! X

not saying not to do that, but google reviews don’t get checked, so could be put out by the business itself. I’d check reviews on the daynurseries website and have a read through recent OFSTED/Care Inspectorate Reports.

oh I can imagine, but it just helped me as a starting point as I had no clue where to begin.. some of them only had 2.5 star reviews overall so helped determine which ones to avoid, but good to know there’s an official place for reviews as I’m still in the process of finding a nursery for mine

for sure! It’s hard to know where to start! Daynurseries reviews get checked and should be genuine. Best recommendations probably come from word of mouth though.
