Has anyone had an extraction while pregnant? I am getting it done now and super nervous and scared!

I’m about to get two extractions on my back molars. One on top and one on bottom. They are right on top of each other. Been in so much pain for a year. I’m scared af and pray I won’t be in pain during the surgery. They are not putting me under anesthesia but only doing local. So I will be awake. I’m so so nervous and worried I will feel pain. I told the assistant about my fears and worries bc my last molar I had done two years ago was painful and I ended up feeling the pain in middle of surgery and it felt like the dr was breaking my jaw! Very scary. He has assured me I will be fine. So fingers crossed! Prayers and good vibes are needed please. The recovery I hope won’t be too hard. I have to eat soft foods for a week and no spitting. Put ice on and off every 20min for two days. Wow.

Anyone else go thru this while pregnant? Did you take any pain med and if so what were you given or told to take? Idk what they will give me if any since I’m pregnant. I don’t believe I’m allowed to take ibuprofen either. Any advice?? Thank you ladies ❤️🙏

I had two teeth removed and so much better and no problem with my baby

I’m worried about pain during procedure. It hurt like hell just while they numbed me. Waiting now…

It didn’t hurt at all. They give you a good amount and won’t hurt later- just swollen and sore after

All four of my wisdom teeth were impacted so I was put to sleep. I wasn't pregnant but I remember when the dentist explained the options he said that to most people local would just feel like a bunch of tugging and pressure.

I imagine it will hurt after but that's normal. They gave me vicodaine, which I didn't take. I honestly don't even remember the after pain, just that I had a hard time eating anything and all the blood! Good luck!

I had to get 5 extractions in one go, sucked monkey butt, but I felt so much better in the end (all four of my wisdom teeth came in sideways, one was infected and the infection started eating a molar)
