8 week vaccines !
My LG has her 8 week vaccines on tuesday and unsure what to do regarding calpol. Heard some people say they don’t need it for the first vaccines, some people say give them a dose an hour before vaccines, and some say to wait until they are getting a fever to give them calpol…
Just curious as to what everyone has done for their little one ! TIA

My GP nurse told me to give some afterward, as soon as I got home then give one more dose before bed to help keep any potential fever reduced. I also have my LO two doses the day after and he was fine. My health visitor also recommended Calpol immediately after the vaccines. Hope that helps at all x
I havent done it yet but work with children, calpol only given to help with temp so wait to see if it happens, thats what i will be doing next week
The nurse will give you a leaflet on it all on attendance for the vaccinations. If you take the calpol with you though you are to give it straight after xx
We were advised to give it just before
our little man had his yesterday and we left the surgery straight away and gave it to him as soon as we got home and then another two doses 4 hours apart. he’s absolutely fine today apart from being the tiniest bit grizzly x
My LB had his today, was advised by nurse can give calpol before or after. We gave him some when we got home.
I will advise if possible feed you baby when they have it done, it distracts them bit. We didn't and the screams were almost unbearable for me. Now 3 hours later and he's just stopped feeding and is asleep
