Throwing up a lot

My friends little one was like that. It may have been an allergy or reflux but she never changed anything, and it did get better over time! As long as weight is staying on the same on the same curve she should be fine! Definitely would discuss it with the pediatrician though. And take pictures si they know exactly how much

Sounds like my girl a few weeks back she was crying for more boob but only for comfort using me as a dummy even when she was full and it'd make her throw up so I only offer one boob now and if she cries shortly after feeding I'd give her the same boob back because I knew it was practically empty she has reflux too but she's only bringing a bit up now not a whole boobs worth, have a Google search for comfort nursing so you can recognise if that's what she's doing

Mine was like this. I cut out dairy and it made a HUGE difference!
Keep in mind that it takes 10 days for dairy to leave your system. And there is so much dairy in things you wouldn’t expect!
If you decide to try this route, it’s important to check the labels of everything to see if it contains milk.

did this just start? I’m just curious if this started right at birth or if it developed closer to the one-month mark?

My baby started to do this around 3 weeks. He hadn't done it before that. We went to see his pediatrician. We are now burping him more often and keeping him upright for 30 minutes after feeds. It seems to be helping significantly.

yeah, it started from 3 weeks and she’s now 4 weeks old

does your baby stay asleep or awake during this? My baby will be asleep so I’ll move her in different burping positions but she stays asleep and doesn’t burp. When I lay her down, she’ll start to wake up and then burp but usually will throw up before I get the chance to burp her

I think my baby uses me for comfort a lot but if I don’t give her the boob, she’ll be crying a lot. Then I give a dummy but she’ll be sucking on it for so long that I think she’s hungry 😞

This happened with my daughter when she was little up until about 5 months it was really bad, and again after starting weaning, then it got better around 9 months ish, she had reflux. She was thriving though, as in gaining weight, hitting all the milestones early etc. The only issue really was she would wake up choking on spit up and it was really scary, doctors didn't really do much. I tried infacol, dentinox, gripe water, gaviscon, they prescribed omeprazole and cetirizine hydrochloride but I didn't give either of those because of side effects/long term effects

Mine had soy but dairy wheat allergy :) went away by six months. Could also be reflux related with flap not closing. Make sure to keep upright for 20 minutes after feed

My daughter was like this up until 4 or 5 months. I was really concerned at first but she was still gaining well and having lots of wet diapers and didn’t seem in pain at all so eventually I started to relax about it and it started to happen less frequently. Still probably worth mentioning to your midwife or OB if you have any concerns though.
