Does anyone use walking reins?

We did for a very short period when my son just started walking and would keep running away and didn’t want to hold hands. He’s a changed man now 😂
We just got some basic ones from Asda for £5 cause we weren’t sure if we’ll use them much or not.

My little boy isn’t great at holding hands & if he doesn’t wear them then he would just run off in every direction 😂 so I love them & use them for short walks. We just got some cheap ones off Amazon x

I've got some that I have been putting on my LO that we got from Amazon however we haven't used them much as of yet. She's still not used to her balance 100% and there holding my hand. I think once she's over 2 then they'll be in more use. There is a little girl in our playgroup that had them on her all the time to walk from the car park and inside - maybe a two minute walk who is around 2.5/3.

Those of you who are using them, which would you recommend? Never tried them but we go abroad next month and would like some just for when we’re out in the evening and it’s busy so he can have some freedom but we can keep him safe and close enough as he loves to just roam off 🤣

We use them.. seem to work well. Got some from Amazon and just gives him the sense of a little more freedom but with my control. Granted he still likes to try run off but they help for now lol! X

We’ve ordered some little life backpack reins off of Vinted, so far it works well when he keeps the backpack on 😂

We use trunki reins and they are great for my LO as he's not always keen on hand holding. If we are going for a walk with my partner we don't use it as much but if I'm on my own with my LO and a pram I do, because I struggle to keep him next to me otherwise 😂

I used mine once and he hates it, he just tugs on to it and doesn’t let go!

We use ours all the time, even when he is holding my hand I’ll keep the strap around my wrist because in the past he has snatched his hand away and darted off and he’s so fast! So any time he’s walking in a busy place/near a road he has them on - for my own peace of mind really. He doesn’t mind wearing it fortunately.

We use them for my little boy because he's a runner and refuses to hold my hand 😂 I feel like I'm walking my pet sometimes with them but eh, safety first!

Absolutely still use them for my Jan 21 baby, kids are unpredictable and people are idiots.

We use them if we are going on long walks or heading to museums etc. from car to nursery she’s good at holding hands. I got ours from Vinted and I think they are red kite ones.
