Large fibroid during labour

Has anyone delivered vaginally with a large fibroid. I have a fibroid that’s about 16cm sitting on top of my uterus. My doctor has always said c section is possible but at the moment it’s not blocking my cervix. Is it possible to deliver with a fibroid this big? What happens during contractions? I’m actually more scared of this than a c section.

I’m in similar position as you. Am 32+6, I will be going back on my 36th week. My consultant said if the fibroid has not grown too much and the baby heads is lower than the fibroid I might be able to deliver vaginally. She explained that the risk in that case is more to do with excess bleeding after the baby is born when removing the placenta. So Aslong as it’s not in the way it should be ok. I’m just hoping the fibroid (13,5cm)doesn’t grow too much any more and that my baby’s head is position lower than the fibroid. I also don’t want a c-section

I have a 12cm fibroid located behind the top of my uterus and I had a midwife take one look at the imaging notes and said it was in the perfect place and she doesn't expect it to cause any issues. I am still working on shrinking it before TTC in the next few months, but that was really comforting to hear! It sound like you're in an similar boat. Wishing you the best!
