Decisions

Our daughter got accepted to a good school but my partner isn’t for it I worked so hard to get her into this school and he wants her to attend a different school just so she can learn in Spanish . I told him we could hire a Spanish teacher and he isn’t for it. I’m so upset I told him then to come help me enroll her in the school he wants and if he doesn’t then I am not going to do it for him. Is that mean ? My parents are on his side and I just don’t know.. I hate this how do you guys deal with decisions as partners .

Many children grow up bilingual and it’s perfectly fine to hire a tutor. I would maybe show him what this school can give to his child, explain the pros to him. Especially for jobs etc it would be important to know English personally way more, or it’s more of a cultural thing to learn Spanish maybe he could teach her? X

If he isn't willing to be involved on a day-to-day basis he shouldn't get the final say. That's what happens with my husband and I when we want something that the other doesn't.

@Enayda should or shouldn't get the final say ... because if he should then it's just inconvenience to you since he chose what he wants yet you're dealing with what you didn't want... or what's the reasoning for your way??

shouldn't I'll edit it now.

@Enayda all good. Makes sense and I totally agree with you. If you're the one handling the bulk of it really the other one should shut it.
