I will be 17 weeks tomorrow and I have started buying baby clothes

Girl, I already have a crib and stroller. I don't think it's taboo. You're past the danger point, and not saying something bad can't happen, but it's a lot less likely. Just do whatever you're most comfortable with.

For my first I got onsies the day I found out (at 4w) 🤣
I found out the gender at 20 w and didn't buy anything until then but only cuz I wanted to buy gender specific stuff otherwise I would have started earlier

I started buying clothes once I got the results

What u can do is not bring it in the house if you can, if not just don’t decorate the baby room yet and put a red ribbon on the crib

My friend had her whole nursery setup by 14 weeks! I’m definitely not that on top of it if but want to start buying soon too. I’m hoping to shop some Memorial Day sales this month for a crib possibly.

I have everything I need for my second except her crib mattress. As soon as I found out her gender at 11 weeks I started going through my first daughters clothes picking what will get reused and selling the rest. I’m saving the money to buy clothes AFTER baby gets here because there is so much cute seasonal stuff that I didn’t really get to take part in with my first because she already had too many clothes of the size she needed during that Season and I also bought her clothes appropriate for where she lives and then spent four months in a different weather environment and had to buy different clothes and could use some I did buy

Nope, better to be prepared. Bought the baby's first onesie at 3 months

Nope! I’m 17 weeks as well and already have tons of clothes and almost all of the “big” items. I love a good deal, so when I find the really nice brands and items second hand for a fraction of the cost, I’ve been snagging them up! Nothing wrong with being prepared! Plus, it helps to split the expense over a long period of time than buying everything right before baby is due 🤷🏼♀️ at least that’s what I keep telling my husband 😂
