They go based off of measurements in ultrasound.
It’ll say EDD based on US and then EDD assigned. You possibly could’ve ovulated faster than the average cycle of 2 weeks and be a week ahead! Or your baby is just growing a week ahead (:
The date they put In to do the ultrasound has you at 14w2d so baby is more than likely measuring ahead and they adjusted the date from there

@Alexus thank you!! i know the date i ovulated bc i was TTC i ovulated feb 2, which still puts me at the same date, ill have to ask my OB next time i go to clear up the confusion im experiencing
I should’ve been two weeks more but I guess I ovulated late so I’m only about to be 15 weeks when from period I should be 17. But they went by measurements of the baby.
