Had the same thing with my son but had two midwives check and they both said it’s fine, it then went after a week so I don’t personally think it’s anything to worry about x

It’ll probably come off in little bits now, happened with my daughter. Took 18 days for hers to completely come off!x
It's fine. My lo iss the same it's just because clothes rub on the area

I have the same with my baby, she is 11 days now. Midwife checked it yesterday and said all normal for that little bit to stay behind. The bleeding will just be it rubbing, we’ve been folding her nappy back to help air it as much as possible. But it should fall out completely soon. Midwife also said we are fine to bath baby even with this little bit left
Thank you so much for the reassuring words, I was constantly monitoring her temperature was so worried.
My baby’s belly button was like I just kept the nappy folded so it wasn’t covered and it healed fine ☺️xx
We’ve been given antibiotics for 5 days and today is day 4 but I’m still worried.
