Giving a DNF another chance

I tried reading this last year while early in pregnancy (bad idea as I was very, VERY ill) and I DNFed it. I've decided to give it another chance, and I'm curious if anyone here has read it and what you thought of it. Thank you!

I just picked this up today! I can see why people dnf, but so far so good (in part 2)
