Tanning after a C-section?

May sound dumb but I feel extra pale after winter! After my c-section, how long until I can I tan in my yard? I of course won’t be nude and my suit should cover my scar. My C-section is scheduled for May 17th. I looked it up and I only see information about trying to go to a tanning bed.
