I was due May 14th with an elective cesarean booked in for 39+3 next week but little man decided at 37 weeks exactly it was time to bust out so he was born 24.04.24 🤍 River James weighing 8lb13.

@Nicole Completely on their own. I had a cervical check the day before due to reduced movements at hospital and my cervix was fully closed. The next day I lost my mucus plug which has regenerated in the past and then my waters broke as I got out of the bath about 7:30pm. He was born at 3:43am!

It should be said that he’s my fourth (and final) baby so my body has done this a few times before and my first cesarean so my body’s been through natural labour in the past.

@Elle 2.5 weeks left and he seems to be more than snug.. I had a cervix check last Tuesday and nothing he’s not got any plans to come any time soon 😢

@Katharine That’s what mine was though! At 37 weeks exactly I had a high closed cervix and mild braxton hicks. By 37+1 I had lost my mucus plug and waters within 24 hours of that check. It can genuinely just happen!

I was 36+4.. can’t remember what the dr said about my cervix just that all was as it should be.. I wish mine would hurry up and go now I’m 37+2 xx
