Can someone please help me!

Hello mama's... today my sister gave my little a tiny piece of cake (8 months old) shortly after he started having these little spasms. They didn't bother him, he was still jumping, laughing and playing but they scared the absolute crap out of me. He's never done this before and he did it about 5 times then it completely stopped. A little after we played in the living room and it happened two more times and that's when I got it on camera. Im a first time mom, my siblings and an auntie are telling me it's just a sugar rush because he never has sugar. Google took it to the extreme and now I'm freaking out and having an anxiety attack.

My son was also diagnosed with acid reflux/gerd at 2 months old. This video was also taken after a feeding

You have the video would was an excellent decision. Take it to his pediatrician. It's probably nothing serious, but your peace of mind is important.

I would show this video to his doctor. I recently took a video that convinced our pediatrician our LO needed an inhaler (through Nebulizer). but if they don’t see it, then they are just guessing. I’d personally rather have the peace of mind for the doctor to say it was sugar induced.

I'm sure it's probably a sugar rush if you're worried definitely get it checked

My LO does this when he is excited.. I'm sure it's probably a sugar rush

These honestly look like seizures to me. Esp since he looks in one direction when he has them. I would take the video to your paediatrician just to be safe.

Another vote for seizures I’d be timing and counting the frequency and recording and seeing a doctor asap

This looks like infantile spasms to though I would go to dr asap and show them this video.

Looks like infantile spasms. send this video to his pediatrician just in case, hopefully it's nothing though

Did it have honey in the cake?? Also yea I would show pediatrician this could be either or so a doctor should be able to tell

My daughter did this a bunch even when she wasn’t eating any sugar (I didn’t give her sugar at all) but like everyone said, I would schedule a doctors appointment today. This could be nothing of it could be seizures. Better safe than sorry

What else was in the cake?! Definitely worth finding out. I would show this to your doctor asap!

My 9 week old does this when I stand her up and talk to her it’s just her getting extremely excited and not knowing how to express it I’m sure he’s just soo happy

@Clarice after reading it, it had a lot of stuff. I took a picture of it to show the doctors

We are on our way to CHOC we would rather be safe than sorry. I will keep all of you updated! Thank you so much for all your responses

What was the outcome?

He did blood/urine test, everything came back good. We’re staying another 24 hours and he is getting a EEG today and MRI tomorrow.
