@Lisa thanks for your comment. It definitely is a rollercoaster! Congratulations on ur pregnancy! how did you manage to conceive if u don’t mind me asking xx
I have PCOS, I definitely noticed I was extremely tired before I tested for pregnancy (38 weeks now,) and I had wicked headaches. Unsure if those are just because of pregnancy or if they were specifically tied into having PCOS and being pregnant. It took my partner and I almost a year exactly to conceive, but we weren't specifically trying (happy surprise!) Never hurts to take a test if you think you could have conceived
I have PCOS and hypothyroidism 🙃! I have a 2 year old son and am pregnant with baby #2 right now!! It's definitely possible to conceive despite the condition.
@Zoe congratulations on ur pregnancy! Yes im not actively trying either. I might wait until my period is due and take a test. Is there anything u were taking or doing before u got found out u were pregnant?
@Grace thats amazing congratulations! Iv heard so many success stories like urs which makes me feel positive. I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks in September 2023. So i know im ovulating. Is there anything in particular uv done to get pregnant? X
Yes I have PCOS and have two children, both conceived without really trying, so not everyone will struggle with the fertility side. I get all of those symptoms regularly but I did notice more headaches after I conceived my first. The second time I had some lower back ache which was unusual for me so it all made sense when I took the test x
@Jessica yes i never usually get headaches so i was wondering whats going on. I woke up with a headache this morning. I just recently got diagnosed with pcos so iv just been feeling overwhelmed and dont know what to expect. X
@Z with my first, it took a year and a half of trial and error figuring out medications to make me ovulate. The cycle it worked I took 250 mg metformin (which studies show reduce risk of miscarriage in PCOS women), 7.5 mg letrozole, trigger shot, and did an IUI. I also take medications for my thyroid. For my current pregnancy, we repeated exactly what we did with my son and it worked first try!! Since you've had a previous miscarriage and mentioned insulin resistance, I would highly recommend talking to your doctor about trying metformin!
I have PCOS and have never had regular periods. I was told I’d need fertility drugs or IVF to conceive as it was very unlikely naturally but I got pregnant without trying and had a beautiful baby boy in October so it is definitely very possible to get pregnant especially if you have regular periods x
@Z thank you. I saw in one of your other comments that you’d experienced a miscarriage which I have done also. I hope you’re ok. We managed to conceive after working with a fertility nutritionist for 9 months. I previously had no periods and no chance of pregnancy and in 9 months through good diet and nutrition regained my periods and started to ovulate. I’d be happy to share the details of my nutritionist with you, if you DM me xx
I have PCOS and it’s such a rollercoaster of hormones! I’m currently 26 weeks pregnant and didn’t experience these symptoms, but I think everyone is so different. Wishing you all the best xx
