Do babies get more active when they are getting ready to be born!?

Just wondering if other people are experiencing increased movements from babba as they approach the due date!? I'm 39+3 and the movements are so intense now, I feel like they are getting themselves ready! Is that a thing!? It literally feels like they are rummaging around packing up their bags getting ready for the journey!
